All I can say, is I'm...

Exhausted, pooped, tired, weary, out of juice, out of energy, out of spunk... spunk-less even. Deflated, run down, running on fumes, fatigued, beat, broken down, burned out, bored, burned out, collapsing, consumed, dead on one’s feet, dog-tired, done for, done in, drained, drooping, droopy, drowsy, enervated, exasperated, fed up, finished, haggard, overtaxed, overworked, petered out, played out, sick of, sleepy, spent, stale, tuckered out, worn out, bone-weary, bushed, crippled, dead, dead tired, frazzled, had it, kaput, out on one’s feet, outta gas, prostrated, ready to drop, sapped, shot, tired out, devitalized, gone to seed, on the ropes, out of condition, out of gas, out of shape, washed out,all in, bedraggled, blasé, dog-weary, ready to drop, zonked.

Be glad you even got this post! ha!

Precious Preston Picked a Perfect Pumpkin from the Pumpkin Patch

Well, you know we had to do it! I'm sure he'll never remember (this trip), but I've always wanted to have a tradition of going and picking out a pumpkin! I got my little man all decked out in pumpkin pickin' gear and we headed out in the muddy field for him to find the perfect pumpkin! The funniest thing was that he kept calling them balls!! He's so funny! He'd point and say "ball". Whatever he wants to call them is fine with me!! And as always, the sippy cup (aka "baba") came with us too! I have to tell you the funniest part of all... when we arrived at the pumpkin patch, there are two parts. The first is where you go in, and usually a big bus takes you from point A to point B, which is the actual pumpkin patch. Well, since we were the only ones there, they just let us drive our own vehicle to the patch. Because it's only about a 1/2 mile ride over there and because you are essentially riding in a field the entire time and can see any traffic (which there was none), we let Preston ride in my lap to the patch (shhh... don't tell anyone!). What was so funny is that he knew he wasn't supposed to be doing it! He kept looking up at me and doing his sweet little "he he" thing he does when he's being bad and he knows he shouldn't be doing it... of course it's not so sweet when he is defiantly disobeying me! He probably did that three times during our short trek to the patch! Here is our sweet man picking out the perfect pumpkin! Happy fall, y'all!!

Preston at the Shelby's Shindig!

Well, to be honest, the only part of the shindig P made it to was the wedding (on Friday night... the reception was Saturday night). When Sarah and Jason were making their getaway from the wedding, they were sent off in a shower of bubbles. This was Preston's first time to see bubbles! He LOVED them. We'd blow some and he'd laugh and laugh! Here are some pictures from his first bubble experience!

The other precious thing that Preston did while we were there (of course everything he does is precious, but this is ESPECIALLY precious) was play pee-pi with Bree (a friend and the other bridesmaid). I was lucky enough to capture his adorable smile while they were playing!!

My best friend's wedding... not the movie version

This past weekend, my best friend Sarah got married!! I was so tickled for her and Jason. They are such a sweet couple and are so happy! Here are some pictures from the wedding weekend!

Song of the week!

I love this song!!! We sang it in church, I've heard it so much on the radio now. It offers so much hope for us!!! Regardless of what we've got going on in life, regardless of what's going on in the world, we still have God's grace!!! And his grace is enough to fill every crevace of our being and our life! It fulfills us! Every line in this song is my favorite!! Nothing can keep us apart!!! NOTHING can keep us apart from God and his amazing love!! The bridge where it says "remember"... I draw on that so much! With our world the way it is, and our country the way it is, I do pray that God will "remember" His people, His promise, His children! With God's grace, we are "covered in His love" and it truly is "Heaven reaching down to us!!" Enjoy this!! It's absolutely one of my favorites and gives me chills everytime I hear it or even think about the words! Go online and see if you can find a sample of it to listen to! Amazing!!

Matt Maher - Your Grace Is Enough
From the album Empty & Beautiful

Great is Your faithfulness oh God
You wrestle with the sinner's restless heart
You lead us by still waters and to mercy
And nothing can keep us apart

So remember
Your people
Remember
Your children
Remember
Your promise
Oh God

Chorus:Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough for me

Great is Your love and justice, God of Jacob
You use the weak to lead the strong
You lead us in the song of Your salvation
And all Your people sing along

Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough
Your grace is enough for me.

Your Grace is enough
Heaven reaching down to us
Your Grace is enough for me

God, I see Your grace is enough
I'm covered In your love
Your grace is enough for me
For me

Chorus:

Rub a dub dub!! My man in the tub!

One of Preston's favorite things is bath time!! Last night he walked into the bathroom, got next to the bath tub and started saying "baa... baa", so we took a bath! He was having so much fun, I had to get out the camera! He's got these washable crayons that he can write with in the tub... I really think I like them more than he does! All he wants to do is put them in his mouth!
And this picture cracks me up! He looks so startled! haha!!

Geaux Bulldogs!!

It seems like our travels will never end!! Last weekend we went to Baton Rouge and to LSU to see the LSU/MSU game and, most important, got to stay and see and visit with Proc and Cammie!! We never get to see them enough! For you who don't know, Proc is responsible for introducing me to my wonderful husband! We had a BLAST and can't wait to go back to see them!! We miss them so much! Hopefully... one day... they'll be closer! As for the game, what was expected to be a total slaughter ended up being pretty decent!! I was so proud of the bulldogs and proud of the fact that Coach Croom started Lee at QB!!! I really think that's what made the difference! Of course, I am a closet LSU fan, so I was really torn during the game, but I did pull for the dawgs! After all, I do live with a bulldog!

Daddy's bulldog and Momma's little rebel!!

Because we live in a house divided, it's very important to me for there to be equality when it comes to collegiate loyalty in our house... basically, Preston is going to wear an equal amount of Ole Miss stuff as he does MSU. At this point, he doesn't know, nor does he care about any of this. He just likes playing with his football. So, I took some pictures of him supporting both of our alma matters! We really could be raising one of the most confused children in existence when it comes to college football!! I personally think he looks happiest in his Ole Miss gear... not that I'm partial or anything! ha!

My little rocker man!

As most of you know, there's nothing I love more than a great bargain!! So, when I was at a Dirt Cheap store the other day, I found a faux-vintage BON JOVI t-shirt for Preston!!! I was super excited!! So I put him in it along with his Converse Chuck Taylor's and some jeans... totally channeling the 80's/ early 90's. He was so precious I had to take some pictures... I don't know what you think, but I think he totally "gives love a bad name"!!! ha!!
