Preston is one.

Can you believe it? I know I can't. Preston turned one a few weeks ago (well, almost a month ago since it's it's almost May). He's got such a sweet personality and is so precious to us...such a wonderful gift from God!!! His birthday party went off without a hitch. It was so great having all (and I mean all sets of all parents/grandparents) of our family there to share with us! He loved the cake, although he wasn't so sure about it at first. And whatever amount of sugar that actually ended up in his mouth didn't keep him from crashing after the party, which, in turn, gave Mommy and Daddy a chance to rest as well!

He has learned how to give sugar...well at least his version of sugar, which is an open mouth on a cheek or your mouth, nose, chin, or wherever it lands. It really is so great to get that love returned to you in a tangible form! (L. Preston giving Daddy sugar!)

Preston also took his first steps!! On April 19, he took a couple of steps... I was so excited, I didn't give him an opportunity to take anymore! I scooped him up and ran to the kitchen to tell Daddy! He still hasn't "taken off" just yet, but I'm sure it's coming any day. I'm just so glad he did it before I had to go to Vegas for work!

In other Preston news, he's off the bottle, onto milk, and onto solid foods! After he got past his texture issues with food, he loves being able to eat what Mommy and Daddy are eating! Of course, he, like his Daddy, hates English peas, but he loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and mac and cheese... who doesn't!?!

Now onto us... Justin and I will celebrate our 4th anniversary this Thursday! It doesn't seem like it's been four years! We were talking about it and Justin made the comment that he can't remember his life before me and I totally feel the same way! We are still as in love as we were after just a couple of weeks of dating!!
I survived my company's layoff's (praise, God!)! Out of my 8 district members, only 4 of us are left... only two of us have the same manager...I'm one of the two, thank goodness! Also, we're launching a new product next week and I'll be leaving my men for a whole week! (Boo!!) Hopefully I'll survive!
Everything is great with Justin as well. He's up for a promotion at work, so we're crossing our fingers and saying prayers that all will go well there. He has sustained his first injury of the softball season, pulling a muscle that took several days for him to get over. Also, he's still following the Bulldogs' pitiful baseball season, trying to watch all of the games on Maroon to the Max, and looking forward to football season.
Well, that's about it! Until next time...God bless!!
